We are studying narrative this term and as a starter we watched a video on Whitby Abbey. We then wrote this narrative in small groups, crafting short sentences to create tension and including inconsequential information to really set the scene. Charlotte has convinced me with her argument. New Zealand really does have the most beautiful places to visit and England really is very crowded!

Charlotte has written a beautiful piece of personification about fire. I love her use of vocabulary which adds to the description of fire's characteristics.

For our 'Super U' unit in term two we learnt about the power of positive thinking and how a fixed mindset can hold us back from reaching our goals. The children wrote songs about how to be a hero and achieve, no matter what life throws at us ...
