Olivia's page
We are studying narrative this term and as a starter we watched a video on Whitby Abbey. Room 3 then wrote their own narratives in small groups, crafting short sentences to create tension and including inconsequential information to really set the scene. Our story is below, please click play on the first slide and the rest will automatically turn the pages, after 15 seconds.
Olivia has personified a cloud. The short piece of writing she has created is very emotive and she has used powerful descriptive vocabulary.
I like the way Olivia has personified the Triwizard Cup.
Olivia and Valencia have put together this interesting slideshow about dogs and cats. They have both put forward many interesting points, facts and opinions about their most loved pets.

I really like the way Olivia has used a variety of sentence starters to add interest for the reader. She has very eloquently set a tranquil scene for a mouse. Well done Olivia!
Olivia has written an emotive poem about a sea turtle. She has used language features to make the reader think about the plight of a sea turtle.
For our 'Super U' unit in term two we learnt about the power of positive thinking and how a fixed mindset can hold us back from reaching our goals. The children wrote songs about how to be a hero and achieve, no matter what life throws at us ...
Olivia has written a 'revolting rhyme' in the style of Roald Dahl about Draco Malfoy. She has written some great rhyming couplets.
